Maspalomas is located in the municipality of San Bartolome de Tirajana. As we have said before, if you visit the area you can swim at the beach of Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles, both are very close. But you will be surprised about everything Maspalomas offers you. Totally a fun experience!
The only dunes in Gran Canaria’s islands. The weather is typical from the desert, hardly ever rains and, if it does, the rain does not exceed 100 mm per year.
Maspalomas Dunes is a protected reserve which has flora and bird species in the wetlands of the area, known as the Oasis of Maspalomas.
Its proximity to the beach makes this area an idyllic setting for walking or taking some pictures.
The Maspalomas Lighthouse
The Maspalomas lighthouse is in charge of light the seagoing navigation since the late nineteenth century. It represents a giant cylinder at the corner of Maspalomas which is powered by electric current. A picture next to the dunes that for sure you want to discover.
